This is it! 2012 is here and promises to be much more active than last year. This is a year to goal set and stick to them. Especially in January, nail down those projects that need to be finished because February promises to get things rolling in new and different directions.
If you have been wanting to start any new projects, now is the time to plan. Don’t forget the details! Some have wanted to make changes in their lives for a very long time. This is the year to do it.
If you have been stuck in the same old rut, this will be the year that starts the destruction of the old so that the new things you have really wanted in your life can enter. When one door shuts another opens almost immediately.
If you have wanted to move, or start another career or find that special someone, get moving! This year will fly by like no other!
It is also the year to get your finances in order and we all know we can cut down on the frivolous things we really don’t need. Make your coffee at home; it will save you $4 at the local coffee shop. And that DOES add up over time.
Streamline your spending and buy only what you need. Save that for that rainy day. Even if you don’t find it raining, you will find a very special something that you will want or need.
Stop the impulse buying should be the theme of your entire year! It won’t be hard if you start under the influence of Saturn which is where we are right now.
Some of the old things in your life will be dropping away allowing the space for new friendships, etc., to enter your life. Should you decide NOT to do housecleaning, you may find it will be done for you. For example, you may find that some friends/acquaintances fade away. While that may temporarily upset you, it will make room for new and different friends that you find you have more in common with.
If you have been wanting to end a relationship, this year is your window of opportunity. Some will change jobs, others will change careers. Some will, at the drop of a hat, decide to move across the country.
Better to personally give up on things that have outlived their purpose rather than having it done to you. You will benefit by starting the process yourself; it will make you feel in control of your own destiny as the year moves forward.
Happy New Year!

2012 This Summer the livin ain’t easy
With the technological and scientific advances of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, astrologers and astronomers alike are taking a fresh look at other celestial bodies that exist in our solar system and the potential impact that these objects have both in terms of science and their effect on human affairs. A number of modern astrologers have begun to integrate these asteroids, Centaurs,Trans-Neptunian Objects or planetoids into their charts and interpretations.
Centaurs are a class of minor planets that also have been noted to have characteristics of both asteroids and comets. Named after the mythological creatures known as Centaurs (which were a hybrid of man and horse), their orbits transit the paths of larger planets. Ironically and symbolically, one of the most prominent is Chiron. First discovered in November 1977, Chiron, whose orbital path carries it between Saturn and Uranus, may serve as a kind of cosmic bridge between time and space.
Chiron, in mythology, was a centaur who was known as the ‘wounded healer” who heals others but cannot heal himself. Ultimately, he sacrificed his immortality to give mankind the gift of fire by exchanging himself for Prometheus. Astrologically, Chiron refers to a wounding of trust leaving a wound that will never truly heal. In a natal chart, it can represent the “deepest wound”-representing an insecurity and guilt leading to over compensation of actions in an attempt to “heal”.
Though a newcomer to astrological interpretation, Chiron’s impact may be stronger than we could imagine. Given the approaching tenth anniversary of 9-11, I feel it is important to see what Chiron’s influence may bring.
It goes without saying that 9-11 represents the “deepest wound” that this country has suffered in its history. Even ten years after, the pain and fear of that day is still fresh in the common psyche of the nation which may never totally recede. To say that those events have left us all feeling insecure and trying to overcompensate for what we have lost would be an understatement. More than buildings fell that day as did trust and innocence collapsed as well.
Clearly, Chiron must be looked to see what energies it will bring to 9-11-11. To begin with, Chiron currently resides in Pisces. What this means is that we must work hard to remove the guilt we feel from the events of that day. More to the point, we should not be looking the world over to find others to “save” until we have fixed ourselves first.
Of particular significance is the fact that Chiron is in opposition to the Mercury the Messenger. With the residual effects of the recent Mercury Retrograde still creating difficulties, this placement points to additional communication snafus and misunderstandings. The proverbial “shooting oneself in the foot” certainly is likely when presenting ideas.
What this means to me is that 9-11-11 could mark a period of more misunderstanding on the world stage as to our intentions both political and financial. The shadow of the events of ten years ago may act to cause us to overact to false or misleading actions externally; playing the victim could well turn out to be a self-fulfilling prophecy. While the wound of that day will never fully heal, Chiron does provide support for the sharing of the lessons of healing on all levels with others which, ultimately, can illuminate a path to the future. The stars give their portents; how we choose to heed them is up to each one of us.

What is happening in the stars for the week of February 12-18, 2012?
Like the groundhog seeing his shadow, Saturn will be retrograde until the middle of June. This period of review and revision demands patience and extra diplomacy. Mercury meets Neptune in Pisces on Valentine’s Day. This powerful combination can cast doubt, fear, and confusion. It can also inspire romantic dreams and life changing creative visions. As ever: the choice is yours!
Aries Don’t doubt your inner psychic this week. That voice inside that sounds the alert is quite accurate. Be skeptical of anyone trying to convince you, who uses fear as a motivator. If you have a sweetheart, this is a powerful Valentine’s Day for grand gestures to take your relationship to a deeper level.
Taurus You may be feeling as if you have fought your way through some tough times lately. It’s important to be self-confident and not rely on others to save you. The good news is things are slowly becoming more stable. Your natural tendency to protect your own will guide you to wise choices.
Gemini This can be a lucky Valentine’s Day if you do your best to be a good listener. Those born near May 21 may feel lost at sea. Don’t let smooth talkers separate you from your money. Those born June 15-20 will find opportunities to build a more solid foundation for the future.
Cancer This is a great time for anything you enjoy that is also physically challenging. Make time to get outside and have fun. Those born June 21-24 can be energized by a deeply moving sense of being part of something greater than yourself. Dreams may also become more vivid and significant.
Leo This can be an extremely romantic Valentine’s Day. Do something unexpected for those you love. It’s a lucky week for travel plans, or to explore anything that expands your horizons. Your circle of friends and helpers will expand in proportion to your willingness to share those things you feel passionate about.
Virgo A certain nagging sense that something is wrong is simply not true. It’s your inner critic working overtime. Establishing regular habits will help support major breakthroughs in a few months. Those born near August 21 may fall in the grip of a romantic dream. Don’t refuse feedback from trusted friends.
Libra They say that tough times do not last. But you have been dealing with a lot lately and there is still more to come. The bright side of this is you are not alone. Do all you can to share all facets of your life, good and bad, with people you trust.
Scorpio It’s vital to get enough quality sleep. Do not allow stress to undercut your health and serenity. The more regular daily habits you establish, the easier things will be. Those born near October 24 have an opportunity to tap deep welling of intuition. Listen to your dreams and trust your “hunches”.
Sagittarius Perseverance will demand sticking with stubborn situations until they change. Take time over Valentine’s Day to appreciate special women in your life. This could include renewing old friendships. Those born near November 22 should think twice about anything that seems “too good to be true”: you can be fooled.
Capricorn When things are slow or there is still simply a mountain of unfinished work, all you can do is keep going. Other people will be supportive, so don’t isolate yourself. The December born continue to be both blessed with practical opportunities and occasionally tossed out of the nest. Just do your best.
Aquarius Many of you sense there is change in the air. At the same time, tangible results can be hard to find. Human nature is sometimes heartbreaking, with a two steps forward, one step back motion in the play of events. Refuse to quit. Examine your own heart. Set goals to be your personal best.
Pisces Speak your mind. You have an inner wisdom that needs sharing. Your ability to sense what other people feel and need can be both a gift and a curse. When in doubt, choose faith, hope, and love. Those born near February 20-21 will have profound experiences, both real and sometimes difficult to describe.
