It should not be surprising that passions (positive and negative) between lovers are also magnified.
With all manner of feelings being felt to a greater degree the combined astrological forces of three eclipses, including a solar eclipse occurring in the space of thirty days and with the Summer Solstice just a few weeks in the future, it is important to realize that this heightened state of emotions needs to be acknowledged and dealt with carefully. The last act of this eclipse “triple play” is the Lunar Eclipse of May 25. This time, the Moon has moved to Sagittarius, the mutable Fire Sign. 2013 has certainly been a year of surprises both here and abroad. As we approach a very intense summer season, astrologically speaking, the heavens themselves seem to be magnifying their energies as a dynamic prelude to what awaits in the third quarter of the year. In the space of one month, three eclipses, two Lunar and one Solar, will bring their collective intensity to bear on the Earth below.
The first Lunar eclipse, on April 25th, occurred during the Seed or Pink Full Moon. This is a time of planting and preparation for the coming growing seasons when these seeds would blossom and bear fruit. The second eclipse event-the solar eclipse of May 9th, occurred with the Sun in the sign of Taurus, an earth sign. This eclipse continued to highlight some of the strange weather issues (and resulting impact upon global food supplies) has been documented in the news. The wildfires that plagued southern California during the beginning of May certainly mirrored the intensity of Old Sol and the awesome power of fire-both earthly and solar in nature.

The arrival of Summer 2013 on June 21 is definitely going to receive a profound burst of cosmic energy in the form of the full Moon on June 23. But this is no ordinary full moon-rather this is a “super moon”. The term “super moon” is an astrological term that describes when the moon passes closest to the earth. This year, the closest that Luna comes to us occurs on Jun 23. Although there are two other “super moon” occurrences in 2013, this one will be the biggest and, quite possibly have the most impact on love and relationships.
Full moons are known as a time of enhanced emotional energy as more births and deaths happen during this lunar phase than at any other time. It is also the time of the highest tides. When combined with the potency of the summer Solstice, it can be expected that romantic events could ebb and flow alternating from being swept off your feet with passion to being left high and dry on the shores of disappointment.
With this lunar backdrop, it is important to examine what other astrological forces will be combing with the Super Moon. To begin with, the Moon is opposite Jupiter on this date. Emotional tides will sweep expansively between happiness and tears. Luna is also opposite her celestial counterpart, the Sun. This is a time of fruition and completion even though the risk of going overboard is present.
The Moon moves us on more spiritual matters. Keep in mind, however, that words could have more of an emotional impact that usual.
