Change, Regeneration, Rebirth

The Death card forewarns us that the end is near and a brand new cycle is forthcoming. It tells us that change is at hand and the ‘death’ of old ways, habits, job or relationships may become a thing of the past.

To make room for the new, we sometimes face the end of the old. There is a new start ahead. It will become very clear that transformation and rebirth are inevitable. This new phase will become a transformation period. It can manifest in letting go of things that no longer serve their purpose.

When this card shows up, it can also mean a change in lifestyle because it is time to move beyond where you are presently. It can be interpreted to mean a change in any area of your life. Make no mistake when this card shows up that change is in the air.

When people first begin to study the Tarot deck and the Death card shows up in the reading, they can become quite upset thinking it means the death of someone they know, or their own. While it can mean the death of a person, it can also and more often than not, mean the death of a place, habit, even a car.

Do not interpret this card as the actual death of a person because this is most likely not the case. Depending on the cards surrounding the Death card, the type of change should become evident.  While learning Tarot deck basics, this is a common mistake made when first learning how to read the cards.

On a positive note, one has to give up old ideas and sometimes values in order to make room for new ones to come in. New and innovative ideas can often follow giving up the old ones.

Living in the past will no longer be an option. For example, you may really want to start another career. Suddenly, you get laid off or even fired from your present one. This will give you the opportunity to go after your desires and get them.

This card does indicate major transformation. The cards surrounding it will explain the area of your life where change is most likely to occur. To get where we really want to be, a bad situation is your sign that blessings are often disguised as disaster.

I like your death tarot card meaning, it is important to say to readers that this card does not mean death of someone we know but it is not so terrible after all!
