As the cosmic wheel has moved once again into the Aquarius, this is a good time to look forward and see what your sign’s natal month has in store for you. Although Aquarius is symbolized by the water bearer, the element of the sign is air. All signs are grouped as cardinal, fixed, or mutable; Aquarius is a fixed sign. Signs also have polarities, active or masculine and passive or feminine. Aquarius has the active polarity.
While the astrological events during a given sign’s month will impact everyone in one way or another, natives of that sign, those born within the period that the sun resides within the sign, will feel the influence to an even greater degree. Knowing what the heavens hold during this time can help provide clarity and, when combined with a person’s individual chart, formulate a cosmic map to help chart your course.
The month of Aquarius began on January 21. The first major event that occurs during the month is the full Moon on the 28. Known as the Old Moon or Ice Moon, this full moon is the first of the three full moons that follow the Winter Solstice. Full moons mark a time of great power and influence. Projects begun earlier can now come to fruition. There is a heightened awareness of emotional and spiritual energies. Full moons also mark a time of change. It is well known that births and deaths increase during a full moon.
This full moon will have a particular impact on Aquarian natives as the moon is traversing Aquarius’ opposing sign of Leo during this time. The desire to be praised and recognized on emotional and material levels tends to clash with your usually cool and calculating manner. With this internal conflict, the most important thing to remember is that relying on your intuition (which will be heightened) will help you resolve the feelings of being pulled in opposing directions.
The next major event is Jupiter going direct on January 30. Having been in a retrograde movement since October, the planet of expansion once again moves forward and brings with it the potential for amplification and development across a broad range of human endeavors. Combined with the creative and independent nature that is a part of the Aquarian personality, this flow of energy could mark a time of new growth and exploration that may open new doors of opportunity, particularly in the career and education areas.
On February 1, Venus, Goddess of Love, enters the sign of the Water Bearer. This placement enhances the natural Aquarian need for independence, particularly in romantic settings. However, given the influence of the full Moon on the 28 and Jupiter going direct on the 30, the potential for a sudden and intense attraction occurring within a few days of Venus’ arrival could lead to passionate encounters that may end as quickly and unexpectedly as they began. Best to enjoy the time that is shared and not obsess about the where things could lead. You will find out soon enough.
A particularly intense period of Aquarius occurs between February 4 and February 8. To begin with, Mars conjuncts Neptune on February 4. Two days later, on February 6, Mercury, the Messenger conjuncts both Neptune and Mars. The impact of the double conjunction involving Mercury cannot be overstated. When combined with the intellect of a native Aquarian, the speed with which decisions are made will dramatically increase. This is true for both personal/romantic matters and those involving business or finance. Speed, however, does not always mean the decision is the right one.
The Neptune effect is also going to be increased. Your natural ability to be detached, even in emotional situations, is going to come under fire as logic and illusion may become confused leading to difficulties in expression. The potential for setting up unrealistic goals or ideals, particularly in love related matters, can lead to disappointment. Avoid secrecy and become so detached that you miss key clues as to the true nature of things.
The last important event in Aquarius occurs on February 10 when Venus, which is still in Aquarius, squares Saturn. This is difficult time for personal relationships, romantic and otherwise. The challenge is to try and reduce the amount of anxiety and tension you are feeling and to recognize that this time will pass quickly. Financial matters could also be negatively impacted so committing to any new ventures in this area should be put off or avoided all together.
For natives of Aquarius, the month holds both positive and negative potentials. Recognizing where the highs and lows may lie can make this time before the warmth of the spring solstice comes once again an easier and more enlightened journey.

This week’s theme focuses on intent. When we intend an outcome, whether it is in the emotional, spiritual or physical realm, we take the first step in formulating a path for the reality that we would like to see come to past. Constructing this intent may mean opening ourselves to some risk, listening to that still small voice, or accepting that we may have to adapt in order to be on the path that calls to our deepest being.
ARIES This week is all about keeping the lines of communication open especially where relatives are concerned. Mental restlessness makes it difficult for you to focus or complete projects on time. Finish what you’ve started or promised to do before taking on anything else. Try to find some kind of physical outlet to help you release all that energy. A spark of inspiration late in the week can lead to some long term benefits.
TAURUS This is a good week to stay close to home and focus on putting your house in order, emotionally, psychically and physically. While there is some concern that things won’t get done unless you do them yourself, it is important to let those closest to you share the load. Be willing to move beyond the material realm and believe in your own destiny. Remember that price does not always equal value on many levels.
GEMINI Risk taking and romance are entwined this week. While you’re normally somewhat detached about love, late in the week you find yourself taking a real gamble with a stranger that could have some questionable consequences. Keep in mind that you could be deceived or end up deceiving others. Don’t allow your pride to get in the way of doing the right thing even if that means admitting you were wrong.
CANCER This week finds a dramatic increase in your emotional involvement at work. While much of this deals with making certain things are running smoothly, there is also a possibility that a workplace romance may also be a factor in all that emotion. Putting things in perspective becomes more important as you find yourself categorizing what truly does or doesn’t matter in the bigger scope of things.
LEO You find yourself drawn to a unique personality this week and this connection has a sense of destiny about it. Both of you will find the urge to make a bond almost irresistible. Whether this occurs in the context of a business relationship, romantic encounter, a friendship, or some combination of all of them, the mutual need for independence will remind both of you to give and share the balance of power.
VIRGO Change is coming and this week, particularly at the beginning, you find yourself being swept out of a out worn or out grown situation/relationship by a veritable tide of circumstance. Rather than try and hold onto the past, allow yourself to be carried by the momentum of the moment. Sometimes the best way to gain control of the future is to relinquish it to the hand of destiny. This is one of those times.
LIBRA Putting your beliefs into action is important this week. It is time once again to expand your horizons, physically as well as mentally. This may involve learning some new skills or updating existing ones. Reconnecting with the natural and primal world are also part of this development. By opening yourself to spiritual, emotional, and intellectual knowledge, a new approach to the future makes itself known.
SCORPIO You have a strong sense of purpose this week that seems to be driving you to reinvent yourself in how you appear in the public eye. Balancing personal responsibility with your view on authority is an important step in this process. There is an element of risk in moving away from your current situation to the unknown. However, discarding that which no longer has meaning will resolve a karmic issue.
SAGITTARIUS Social connections can have more of an impact this week than you might imagine. Mid-week is a good time to examine your alliances to make certain that they truly reflect your own dreams and ambitions, particularly in the career realm. Don’t be afraid to ask for help or support in finishing project; it will be given freely. Keep the lines of communication open. Those shared ideas could be profitable for all concerned.
CAPRICORN Matters involving love and romance color the entire week in a rose-colored shade. You see only what you want to see and are enamored as much with the idea of love as the actual relationship itself. The challenge, especially mid-week, is to keep at least one foot in the real world. Don’t try to force the issue, let things develop in their own time. If this is the real thing, you will find out soon enough.
AQUARIUS Your heart and mind are totally in alignment this week making it easy to move forward in a harmonious fashion both in the financial and romantic fronts. Although communication seems easy, care must be taken not to get so caught up in the emotions of the moment that you fail to use your intellect to examine the pluses and minuses. Your flexibility is the key to your success so keep all options open.
PISCES Being too casual with financial matters this week could cause you some emotional upset by week’s end. Rather than spending on dreams or schemes, take time to examine the fine print before signing on that dotted line. Listening to your intuition will help you avoid this potential monetary pitfall. Remember that being generous doesn’t mean being foolish or ignoring the obvious.

Although the Mayan Long Count Calendar may have ended on December 21, the amount of unfinished business from the old cycle that is carrying over to 2013 makes understanding what may lie ahead, astrologically speaking, in the next twelve months even more important that usual. Financial, social and political cans can only be kicked so far down the proverbial road before a conclusion, of one form or another, results. With this in mind, what follows is a brief overview of the cosmic energies that will be impacting us all in the months ahead.
The first quarter of the year seems to feature a lot of smoke and mirrors and precious little substance. Lots of posturing, politically and financially, on a global scale with no real sense of what direction to move in. This uncertainty will be compounded by Saturn, the Great Leveler, going in reverse on February 18, followed five days later by the first Mercury retrograde of the year.
Expect some revelations/whistle blowing during this time that could upset some highly placed individuals. The skewing of communications combined with the limitations of options for positive action of any sort set the stage for an event of karmic importance. Although March is supposed to “come in like a lion and go out like a lamb” the period from March 22-31 promises to be anything but gentle and serene. Expect a significant event during that time whose repercussions could have a world-wide impact. The realism of our situation may be brought home in a historically dramatic fashion.
The second and third quarters of the year promise to be the most dynamic, dramatic and, yes, traumatic of the entire twelve month cycle. Beginning with Pluto’s return to a retrograde motion on April 12, will again mark a period of unrest, possibly violent in nature, in various locales around the globe. Greece, Spain and the Middle East are prime candidates however, unlikely locales such as Southeast Asia or even in the southern United States could also be featured.
In addition, during a thirty day period from April 25 – May 25, there will be three eclipses; a partial Lunar eclipse (April 25), a Solar eclipse (May 9) and Lunar Eclipse (May24-25). The power of Eclipses, both Lunar and Solar, has been known to humankind for eons. With the eclipse effect during this time, expecting the unexpected should be the watchword for everyone.
Weather related events (and yes, that could mean an unexpected hurricane or two) are likely, especially after June 7 when Neptune goes retrograde. As the planet whose predominant influence is the oceans, Neptune’s impact cannot be overstated. For example, the Gulf Oil Spill of 2010 occurred during a Neptune retrograde. Neptune is also the planet of illusion and escapism. It is important not to mistake “pie in the sky” for an astrological pie in the face.

In today’s hectic 24 hour information cycle world, trying to create and build an exciting and passionate relationship can seem almost overwhelming. For many men and women, whether Gen X’ers, Millenniums, or even Baby Boomers, the single life is the choice of preference and pleasure. Having a variety of relationships can, and often does, provide the spark and satisfaction, emotionally and physically, matching the speed that life seems to move at today. For those in multiple relationships, the question often is: how should I divide my time and energy in order to gain the most from these encounters?
Whenever I am asked a question like this, which happens more and more frequently, I respond by suggesting that looking at what the planets are doing relative to the birth (or natal) sign can provide a great deal of guidance. If you are fortunate enough to have your love interests’ birth information, this can be used to compare your chart with theirs to see whether this “cosmic dance” is a sensuous tango, a fiery Paso Doble, or maybe just the “Last Waltz”.
Each of the planets contributes to the astrological picture of the highs and lows of relationships and interactions, however, there are four celestial bodies that should be given particular attention in matters of the heart: the Moon, Venus, Mars and Mercury.
Within the boundaries of your personal chart, discovering the interactions and compatibility connections of these four entities can help you plan (or juggle, as the case may be) your own romantic schedule to maximize both the intensity and the quality of your relationships. Conversely, this information could give you advance warning of the times when things could be more of a challenge that could require you to take an emotional “time out”.
To begin with, let’s take the “Fab Four” as they impact your own natal chart. Turning to Mercury the Messenger, all manner of communications, verbal, written, non-verbal, and physical are impacted by this fast moving cosmic traveler. When there are positive energies cause by Mercury’s position relative to the other planets’ at a given point in time, words flow easier, connections seem to happen with little or no planning, and even during those intimate moments when speaking would get in the way, expressing what you are feeling comes across loud and clear. On the flip side, when negative energies occur, the chance of being misunderstood, of messages being delayed or lost altogether, and a general sense of confusion could make a night out on the town seem like an eternity when it comes to love and relationships.

This week’s theme is change. Whether the issue is career, finances, romance or even the self, recognizing that what was the status quo is not set in stone can provide a fresh outlook on who and what we are and where we are heading.
ARIES – The focus for you this week is on self-improvement. The challenge is to actually be able to step outside your comfort zone in order to grow both spiritually and career-wise. The comfort level you’ve developed in your daily routine has made you complacent although, ironically, you are not totally satisfied with where you are. Developing a sense of ambition will take effort. Taking that first step is how to begin.
TAURUS – Romantic matters will be your focus this week. Take care not to be over-extravagant or impulsive with spending since this could cause friction with your partner. Butting heads (and hearts) mid-week will remain; for both of you this is a partnership and not about dominating one or the other. Also remember that jealousy can be a two way street and what your partner perceives is just as important as your own perceptions.
GEMINI – There are drastic changes on the horizon this week. You may find yourself suddenly caught up in an intense physical relationship with a stranger who, mysteriously, feels like someone you’ve known. Déjà vu? Karma? Or something else? This is what you will need to discover. Near the end of the week there will be some involvement with finances. Keep yourself grounded and everything will work out.
CANCER – This is a good week to expand your knowledge in terms of career goals. Mid-week you may be given the opportunity to promote yourself to someone in authority. Keep in mind the historical perspective even as you look to the future. Although your schedule may fill up quickly, make certain that you take some time to get outside. Reconnecting with the primal essence of nature will rejuvenate your spirit.
LEO – You will find yourself in a leadership position right at the beginning of the week. While you have been working towards this point, how you will handle the responsibility of not only directing but motivating others will be a large role in helping resolve a long-standing karmic issue. Understanding the emotional currents around you will help you bring out the best in others and, ultimately, in your own performance as well.
VIRGO – This week finds you daydreaming a lot and ignoring those realistic details that could lead you to making some social missteps throughout the week. You find that being “part of the group” is less than satisfying yet it seems that, at this point, your options are limited. Don’t be afraid to step away and spend some time reflecting on just what is causing the uneasiness. Hold off making changes, however, until your vision is clearer.
LIBRA – Communication issues, both external and internal, are going to make this a very challenging week. There is an energy that seems to be working against you and making you doubt your own abilities. Since positive action is not likely now, the best course is to pull back and regroup. Late in the week, cooperation from an unlikely source will make an appearance. From this assistance, you will gain a new perspective on how to move ahead.
SCORPIO – Trying to find a direction to focus your energies on is going to be a major challenge this week. There is a feeling that you are somehow lacking in your ability to achieve your short and long term goals, particularly in the work/school realm. This, in turn, leaves you feeling insecure about your own skills and talents. Just remember that you are stronger than you think. Mid-week will bring clarity and praise for your efforts.
SAGITTARIUS – Powerful forces are in play this week, especially where money is concerned. A change in direction right at the outset of these seven days will be both dramatic and profound. A romantic partner helps you keep things in focus and reminds you to keep avoiding being too forceful or pushing yourself to exhaustion. Changes in your schedule will be challenging but not insurmountable. Intuition is strong now.
CAPRICORN - Mixed messages are going to cause a lot of confusion this week. What you are hearing, especially from those closest to you, may be mis-stating how they truly feel. Coming as it does, right at the beginning of the week, could lead to a confrontational attitude that interferes with decision making, especially in emotional matters. Keeping anger in check is difficult but necessary. Remember to breathe.
AQUARIUS – Lots of focus on dating and romance make this an exciting week. Your energy level is very high and, as a result, you’re apt to act with any restraint or thoughts of any emotional consequences. As a result, you might be a bit careless and could trip over your own ego late in the week. Measuring risk versus reward will help you strike a balance between exploring new possibilities and maintaining your spiritual balance.
PISCES – A feeling of restlessness and dissatisfaction with things in general seems to push you to taking risks this week. Trying to step “outside the box”, while certainly be a way to express your creativity, can cause some unexpected results that may not be exactly what you hoped for especially in the realm of romance. The hardest thing to do this week is to make a decision and stick with it. Ironically, it is essential that you do so.

The impact of Mercury retrogrades has been widely discussed across the globe especially when it comes to dating. The chaos brought about by the communication disruptions that occur during this aspect are the subject of countless articles including several that I’ve written. Needless to say, dating and romantic endeavors of all sorts are particularly impacted during these times. Break-ups and arguments due to missed, mixed, or misunderstood messages (on any level) increase dramatically. Since they can’t be avoided, knowing when these astro-events occur can, at the very least, allow you to be aware that this is definitely a fragile time and caution should be taken accordingly.

Of all the celestial events that we witness in the heavens, perhaps none are as profound in terms of their effect on the human psyche and spirit as an eclipse. Whether it is the Earth’s shadow cast upon the Moon (lunar eclipse) or Luna moving between Sun and Earth (solar eclipse), this cosmic shadow dance has long been recognized as a time of portents and power.
Now, in an already tumultuous month, two of these heavenly minuets will occur: the solar eclipse of Nov. 13 and, a fortnight later, a lunar eclipse on Nov. 28.
Solar eclipses were sources of legends wonder and fear to ancient cultures across the globe. Chinese legends hold that a dragon is devouring the sun and it is the duty of the people to scare the dragon off with drums and shooting arrows towards the darkness. The Vikings felt that a solar eclipse would one day foretell the start of the final battle of Ragnarok ending the world of gods and men while the Native American Choctaw tribe believed that a black squirrel, a symbol of mischief, would try and eat the sun at intervals and that the people would have to chase him away in order to enjoy the warmth and light from above.
Lunar eclipse legends are just as diverse. Ancient Buddhists felt that during a lunar eclipse all karmic actions are multiplied a thousand times. The Serrano Indians of California felt that an eclipse was the result of the spirits of the dead trying to eat the Moon. Shamans were called in to dance to appease the restless departed while the rest of the tribe fasted in order to starve them away and restore the beacon of the night. The Japanese covered wells to keep poison from dropping into them from the darkened sky.
Beyond the legends and myths, astrologers have looked carefully at eclipses as tools for forecasting upcoming events. The solar eclipse of Nov. 13 occurs in the sign of Scorpio. Traditional astrology notes that the sign of the Scorpion brings about death, rebirth and an examination of attitudes and beliefs.
Ancients such as Ptolemy, the father of astrology, felt that a solar eclipse in this sign (which was traditionally ruled by Mars) could lead to mass conflict and untrustworthy or betrayed leaders. Also events involving the seas (and surrounding areas) could make a potent impact. Given that this particular solar eclipse also occurs during the last Mercury retrograde of the year and with Neptune, the Sea King, gong direct, this could mark the start of a dramatic shift in events with unanticipated conflicts and political change a focal point.
The lunar eclipse of Nov. 28, though more subtle in impact, is no less important. Occurring in the sign of the Twins, Gemini, the energies here will impact the financial markets as the line between public and private power becomes blurred. These effects will be particularly enhanced in those countries governed by Gemini which includes the United States. Storms, meteorological and political, are also likely to occur.
Yet, for all the mystery and energies that swirl around this sky-dance, I prefer an old legend that holds that if a couple kisses during a lunar eclipse is still full that their love will keep them together for all time. The power of love can illuminate all darkness whether solar or lunar with the light shared by two hearts. With the changes that are approaching, this illumination becomes more important than ever.

This week’s theme is introspection. Much of the “information” that is needed to deal with our current situations can be found by taking the time to look within. Even when we are not consciously focused on an issue, our spiritual nature gathers those impressions that can enlighten even the most complex matters if we allow ourselves to receive them.
ARIES – This week finds you losing yourself in your work-both figuratively and literally. While this single-mindedness will certainly help you get all of those daily tasks done, the danger is that you are so focused that you end up pushing away those around you who only want to help and support your efforts. Try to remember to lift your nose up from that grindstone and appreciate those things around you that make it all worth while.
TAURUS – How you relate to those closest to you, both professionally and personally, will have a profound impact on your long term plans this week. There is an emotional conundrum that needs to be resolved. On one hand the obligations that you have leave you feeling trapped while, on the other, there is a fear of being left out or left behind. Focus on internal balance and the external will take care of itself.
GEMINI – Much like a detective, this week finds you looking for clues as to how to resolve a current financial situation. What may reveal itself mid-week is that there is a source of support from an unexpected quarter. Keep in mind, however, that accepting this help may require you to share control over things. As challenging as this may seem, sharing power is crucial to effecting the change you are seeking to bring about.
CANCER – There is a strong sense of transition this week that will begins the start of philosophical journey for you. There is now a renewed sense of purpose that provides the clarity of vision you’ve been searching for. Take time to write down your impressions and thoughts throughout the week as those observations could prove an invaluable source of reference later on. Experiences are waiting-go for them.
LEO – Taking responsibility for your own happiness and destiny is important this week. Right from the beginning of the week, you will be reminded that how you attain the success and recognition you want is just as important as actually achieving those goals. In a real sense, all that has been happening recently is part and parcel of you resolving some long standing karmic issue. Persuade more, demand less and things will prosper.
VIRGO – This week could be challenging in the realm of love and romance. Right at the outset, there is a strong likelihood of a misunderstood or missed message that could lead to disagreements and an unexpected event. The unpredictable nature of this relationship, while exciting and intense, can also set you up for disappointments. Keeping expectations realistic can blunt the emotional impact of this kind of surprise.
LIBRA – There is a sense that forces behind the scenes are moving you in a direction that you are not certain that you want to go. As a result, you find yourself pulling back emotionally and expecting the worst. Take care not to let this feeling of reserve become a self- fulfilling prophecy. Towards the end of the week matters will suddenly come into focus. Just as the tides ebb and flow, so too, will your path become clear. Be patient.
SCORPIO – Romantic miscues are likely this week. What you perceive as truth may not be as black and white as you think. As a result, extra effort will be required to look at things in a rational manner. What is called for now is to keep your emotions under control (which will not be easy) and to communicate to your partner what you are feeling. The storm clouds should begin to clear by the weekend; hang in there.
SAGITTARIUS – This week is all about control-particularly in the realm of money. Late in the week you may find yourself up against the proverbial wall. Even as you are feeling closed in, hold on tight to your principles and, above all, do not lose faith in your own ability to turn things around. There is a new inspiration that may manifest in an unexpected way. Don’t hold onto your anger, it only will drain the energy you need.
CAPRICORN – Matters involving the family feature prominently this week. Pay close attention to any communications you receive from your relatives as they may contain information that you will need by the end of the week involving career or travel plans. Your ability to “think on the fly” will be tested mid-week as a sudden shift in direction will test your duality and ability to improvise, adapt and, ultimately, overcome.
AQUARIUS - Concentrating on the facts is going to be difficult this week. You may find yourself questioning that which, up until recently, you tended to view as your “birthright” in terms of your place in the world. With your perceptions being scrambled, the best course of action is not to make any long term agreements. Take the time to understand what is driving this confusion; the answer may just surprise you.
PISCES – This week finds you being torn between doing “the right thing” and doing your own thing. You feel the need to take action but aren’t certain what action to take. Ironically, in the midst of all this spiritual chaos, you have an opportunity for a delightful romantic interlude mid-week. Enjoy the moment for what it is but accept that this may not be long term. A departure from old habits is heading your way-be prepared.

During presidential election years, psychics and astrologers are often called on to make forecasts as to winners and losers. Just as political analysts and pollsters look at trends and demographics as a basis for their opinions, those who practice the predictive arts also must take into consideration cycles and relationships on various levels to form their results. For astrologers, this involves looking at the birth charts of the candidates and seeing how current planetary positions interrelate with their natal locations. Additionally, astrological events such as retrogrades must also be considered.
At the outset, it must be noted that the election is occurring just as the final Mercury Retrograde of the year begins on November 6th. Two days earlier, on November 4th, Daylight Savings time ends and, four days after the election, Neptune ends its long term in retrograde and goes direct. Just nine days post election, there is a total Solar Eclipse and a New Moon. The various cosmic energies of these important events are all in play as the polls open and serve as a dynamic astral backdrop for the selection of the President and Congress.
The Tenth House of the Horoscope is traditionally the House which deals with primary career goals, government and politics. With this in mind, the charts of both Romney and Obama were examined to see the impact of planetary movement on each of their Tenth Houses on November 6th, 2012 election.
For Romney, there is only one transit in his Tenth House; Neptune, the Sea King, still moving backward resides there. The impact of this is losing sight of career goals or being phased out are possible although service-related careers may prosper. Ambition and drive could be lacking. This would seem to indicate a less than positive outcome at the polls.
Parenthetically, it should also be noted that Neptune, the Sea King, governs among other things, the seas. The occurrences of hurricanes at both the Republican Convention and Hurricane Sandy, just days before the election, are stark reminders of the impact of the Neptune, The Ocean Ruler.
For Obama, his Tenth House contains two transits, Mercury Retrograde (which will be starting its retrograde) and Mars. The Messenger’s arrival in the Tenth House turns the mind to career and professional interests. It’s a good time to communicate with superiors and learn new job skills. The Mars impact stimulates ambition and career objectives. If ego energies are unrestrained, conflicts could arise with authorities or superiors. Work for recognition. These relationships would certainly seem to point to a successful reelection effort.
Romney’s Sixth House, the House of work (not career) and service (which does include politicians) has some important hints as well. Saturn, the first of two transits here, points out that work situations become more demanding. Be willing to serve and sacrifice now for opportunities in a few years. The Sun also highlights that this is a period of responsibility and service to others. Physical health will also be emphasized, and more positive regimes promote well-being.
Obama has only one transit in the Sixth House, the Moon. Luna’s impact shows that emotions may be depressed by the self-sacrificing nature of this placement. Avoid being critical or overly concerned with health. Regardless of who is in the White House, the self-sacrificing nature of the job of President is certainly an absolute.
The last comparison that is a good astrological barometer is the transits in the Eleventh House for both men. The Eleventh House is known as the House of Hopes and Dreams; without a doubt winning the Presidential Election is the dream of both Obama and Romney. It is also the House of bizarre occurrences and the unexpected.
Romney’s Eleventh House has a potent transit with Uranus. Friends, hopes and expectations are subject to sudden and revolutionary change. Peer pressure chafes. Be willing to alter plans and stay flexible. Obama, too, has a single but power interaction-this time with Pluto. Friendships and group activities will have a profoundly transforming effect. Hopes, wishes and goals undergo transitions. Avoid manipulators.
Based on the above at this juncture, Obama is narrowly favored astrologically. This seems to be supported by a powerful conjunction of the Moon and Sun. A time of monthly renewal when emotional and ego energies blend effectively. Associations are favored. It will not be without controversy however. Saturn in the Ninth House points to legal problems that may arise. Educational or travel plans will require hard work. Take care of unfinished business.
Regardless of the ultimate results of this election, the energies which have coalesced at this time will have an impact far beyond the 2012 elections on November 6th. Whether you follow the stars, the pundits, or your own internal voice, express your feelings and vote.

Neptune, astrologically speaking, has long been associated with mysticism, idealism and compassion. When affected by negative influences and aspects with other planets, these characteristics can change into delusion and deception as well as a lack of focus and confusion. It has power over weather, oil and gas, steam and steam power, (no matter how it is produced), mystery, secrecy, spiritualism as well as dreams, and imagination.
It seems that Neptune clearly is demanding our attention. With another Mercury retrograde looming in our future as well, one can only anticipate that there are going to be more dynamic events which may well alter the course of our day to day life. Perhaps the message here is to not to be lulled into a dream-like desire escape that is going on and to look more closely at what is around us.
Neptune also enhances our ability to create and solve problems. By allowing this potential to flow freely, we can face the battle of egos which currently seems to grid-lock the world at large and start to achieve real progress. Much like the words from Celine Dion’s song “My Heart Will Go On:” we can weather the storms by tapping these forces.
For whether on the world stage or in our own spheres of existence, this Neptune retrograde will definitely leave a mark on both the physical and psychical realms that will reach far beyond this six month event.
