Yesterday, I wrote that I felt strongly about earthquakes heating up in intensity and sure enough, Alaska got hit with a 6.8 this morning just as I predicted. It happened just off the coast of the Aleutian Island chain, off-shore and roughly 400 miles west of the capital city of Anchorage.

A volcano has erupted on a southern island off the tip of Japan Friday morning.
