This Super Moon will occur on March 19 when it is in its closest position to the earth this year. This one happens to be a full Moon, so it is time to prepare now. Full Moons in general can cause havoc, and this one for sure will not go unnoticed by anyone.
Get ready for what could be moderate to severe weather patterns, increased seismic activity, tsunamis and more volcanic eruptions than normal. This phenomenon includes the days leading up to March 19 and the days after until around March 22nd. Japan is a very likely candidate for a whopper! As a result, it will be in the news around the world.
We experienced extreme weather conditions under the last Super Moons in 1955, 1974, 1992 and 2005. Hurricane Katrina is one example which happened in 2005 under a Super Moon’s influence. The moon has such a strong gravitational pull on the earth it can control the tides and under certain conditions causes extra strong tidal patters as in the Indonesian tsunami.
The well known astrologer, Richard Nolle coined the phrase, Super Moon and he is predicting just such occurrences this March in particular and could continue well into April of this year. The Moon exerts gravitational pull on the earth and the closer it is, the more influence it has. Super Moon’s have a particularly strong pull on the earth because they are much closer to the earth during these phases.
This March may prove to be one of the worst months for severe weather and seismic activity yet this year. This may be because the Moon has not been this close to the earth in 18 years. The coastal regions should prepare for especially strong and high tides and possible earthquakes.
This will be the second of three Super Moons this year. One occurred in February, again in March and April. These three months should mark a noticeable change in earth activity, along with gas leaks or explosions and earthquakes. Get your camera out because this particular Super Moon will appear extremely large at it rises after the sun sets, because it will be the closest one of the year.
Just after the Super Moon, get ready for more financial concerns world-wide, especially the European bond market, an increase in oil and gas disruptions and the price of everything going up and into panic mode. Many power outages are likely to occur, especially if earthquakes hit densely populated areas. Stock markets may also be in for a wild ride.

Well, from studying the moon and its phases the Super-Moon shouldnt cause any type of disasters simply because the moon DOES have an affect on the earths weather and tides but no one knows how the moon affects earths weather for anyone to predict a “Disaster”. Also the moon has a low effect on the earths weather patterns and in fact its so low that the atmospheric changes are enough to overwhelm the moons effect on the weather with no problems.

I believe these are just rumours spread by Asrologers and Horoscope experts as part of their business. It has nothing to do with science. Astronomers and Mateorologists say that March 19 would be a normal day. There could be some extra tidal waves due to the extra gravitational forces.

Back in February, there has been many gas leaks around my area in Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA, including one that turned out to be an explosion 3 blocks from my grandma’s house. Because the article explains that the Super Moon causes gas leaks, it all adds up into my head now. Even though the gas lines are almost 200 years old, it would have to be a strange coincidence to have a huge, random explosion under one Super Moon, and a 8.9 earthquake in Japan under another Super Moon, causing the poles to shift a mere 6 inches. Just prepare for April, as Im sure this world is going to hell.

Tides are due to moon’s gravitational pull chiefly. Earth’s crust rests on tectonic plates which themselves float on the viscous magma core. The tectonic plates are constantly drifting and at places pushing against each other. If two such plates have come to a critical stress bulid-up situation then any additional stress due to moon’s gravitational pull will cause a stress-release situation that manifests in earth quakes. This is logical scientific thinking and not astrological mumbo jumbo.

Supermoon’ is a situation when the moon is slightly closer to Earth in its orbit than on average, and this effect is most noticeable when it occurs at the same time as a full moon. So, the moon may seem bigger although the difference in its distance from Earth is only a few percent at such times.
It is called a supermoon because this is a very noticeable alignment that at first glance would seem to have an effect. The ’super’ in supermoon is really just the appearance of being closer, but unless we were measuring the Earth-Moon distance by laser rangefinders (as we do to track the LRO [Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter] spacecraft in low lunar orbit and to watch the Earth-Moon distance over years), there is really no difference. The supermoon really attests to the wonderful new wealth of data NASA’s LRO mission has returned for the Moon, making several key science questions about our nearest neighbor all the more important.
Are there any adverse effects on Earth because of the close proximity of the moon?
The effects on Earth from a supermoon are minor, and according to the most detailed studies by terrestrial seismologists and volcanologists, the combination of the moon being at its closest to Earth in its orbit, and being in its ‘full moon’ configuration (relative to the Earth and sun), should not affect the internal energy balance of the Earth since there are lunar tides every day. The Earth has stored a tremendous amount of internal energy within its thin outer shell or crust, and the small differences in the tidal forces exerted by the moon (and sun) are not enough to fundamentally overcome the much larger forces within the planet due to convection (and other aspects of the internal energy balance that drives plate tectonics). Nonetheless, these supermoon times remind us of the effect of our ‘Africa-sized’ nearest neighbor on our lives, affecting ocean tides and contributing to many cultural aspects of our lives (as a visible aspect of how our planet is part of the solar system and space).

the Earth’s weather. I believe some of you don’t even know that the moon gets closer to Earth an inch every year. And it’s not from the Mayans.
It’s not a crime to be prepared.
I want to thank the people that take the time to get this kind of information out to the world. I now look at the destruction of the world in a different light and am more concerned about the safety of my family and friends especially those that live a thousand miles away. first off the mayans neever said the world would end in 2012 they said it would wnd as we know it. Second the moon doesn’t get an inch closer every year it follows an elipticle orbit just like the planets which means it drifts in and out. Third the moon has a bigger effect on weather than you know it effects the tides which in turn effects the weather. Do your research befor you post people.

Whether it is March 19 or not God is about to pour out His wrath on this Earth. The only way to get prepared is to get yourself right with God. Repent and turn to Him with all your heart. What we have had so far are tiny birth pangs. The serious stuff is yet to come. The kingdom of God is at hand.
Ciara the moon is indeed getting away from the earth. Scientist has predicted that in I dont know how many millions of years the moon will not be our satellite anymore and the more it go away that affects the perfect dance the Earth and Moon have. Because the moon is not getting closer our day are now of 24 hrs (longer) because our rotation slow down. Millions of years ago; when the moon was closer the day had a duration of only 6 hrs; then it increased to 12 and little by little until now 24 hrs.
We have had these super moons in the past. I think the problem with all what we are experiencing these days have to do with how bad we are treating the planet; second the possibility of some theories to be true like that the planet is about to do a quantic jump to a 5th dimension; other that the earth is about to pass the pleiades protonic band or circle or because the man is playing with some new toys like the Haarp. Whos knows!
We should all be so lucky that it would be the END. Humans (especially Americans) have beyond screwed up the world as we knew it. I am happily married with a child but like I said, we should all be so lucky. Just let it end before some country releases nuclear holocaust or worse like some air-born toxin that makes us suffer till the end.
My attitude is just the effect of being well informed on the state of the country and being almost destitute and suffering in chronic pain everyday of my life. And Im impatient, we all know its coming someday.
