The Second Quarter is going to ramp up the intensity. The week before the Vernal Equinox arrives is marked by the previously mentioned Mercury Retrograde which began on March 12th. Ironically Daylight savings began the previous day (March 11th). So it appears that the intersection of the change of seasons, change of time, and communications chaos could lead to some dramatic international events. Radical politics (and politicians) are going to confound everyone and the chance of an “oopsie” resulting in a firefight (actual or metaphorical) continues until Mercury moves forward again on April 4th.
The Pluto, The Dark Lord reverses course on April 10th still in the sign of the Capricorn. The intensity of this position, coupled with the force of the retrograde is going to make the spring very interesting, to say the least. Pluto Retrograde highlights weakness while Capricorn deals with power and hierarchies. Expect more revelations about how hollow the current system is that could cause a major crisis involving a government official sometime between April 10th and the 19th. This scandal/issue could lead to a conflict either of arms or of money; either one will leave us shaken and looking for answers.
The Goddess of Love, Venus, is particularly impacted during this quarter. She squares Neptune, Mars, Chiron, and then goes retrograde on May 15th. Relationships are going to be particularly stressed and emotional conflict (heightened by the transformative and destructive powers of Pluto) could lead to collapse of personal relationships, even as the governmental ones also fall.
The Total Lunar Eclipse of June 4th will occur in Sagittarius. The Archer’s influence will add to the frustration and discontent. The possible fall of a prominent person, either through scandal or some physical calamity, will add to the chaos of the landscape. Italy, North Africa, and yes, us too, are likely spots. The chance for unpredictable weather could also make the run-up to summer a challenge.
Adding to the 2nd Quarter chaos is Neptune moving again in reverse. Starting its retrograde path on the exact day of the Lunar Eclipse, one can expect trouble on, in and around the oceans. A hurricane or major oil/gas leak is not out of the question. Also, there is a chance that what we are seeing may not be what we are going to get in terms of “solutions” for the myriad of financial issues that continue to cascade.
The third Quarter of 2012 will make the first part of the year seem like a picnic. The highlight is an astrological double whammy which starts near the end of the 2nd Quarter. Uranus and the Mercury both go retrograde a day apart – July 13th and 14th respectively. This Mercury Retrograde is going to be especially troublesome. Not only will communications suffer (as usual), but “ghosts” from past infamous behavior for those in power as well as the rest of us, are going to rise from the collective grave of memory to totally distort our reality.
Expect scandals, revelations and “gotcha” moments turning the already circus atmosphere of the upcoming elections in a spectacle that Ringling Brothers would be proud of. Uranus’ penchant for the unpredictable will be on full display and the month of August may well find us lurching from one disaster to another. The environment, too, is going to take a hit and Labor Day may end up marking more than just the end of Summer.
