Psychic Tarot readings can be the most interesting, and the most unusual, readings to receive. The Tarot is a deck of 72 cards, each with a specific meaning. Actually, two, as cards which are dealt upside-down are the inverse of those right-side-up. A professional reader is typically one with psychic abilities, and is capable of becoming ‘in-tune’ with his or her deck of cards. Gifted intuition allows the reader to see additional meaning in the cards.
Those psychics who use the Tarot will usually ‘break the Tarot deck in’ by carrying it on their person for a period of time before actually using the deck. For example, I typically carry a new deck around with me from one new moon period till the next, even putting the deck under my pillow when I sleep during this period. The rationale behind this is that the deck absorbs and becomes conditioned by the reader’s energy field. The deck literally becomes one with the reader, an extension of his or hers mind and abilities.
For the novice who is studying the Tarot, the next step, following the ‘break the deck in’ period, is to start doing readings. A LOT OF READINGS! Practice makes perfect and the more readings you do, the more accurate you become in interpreting the cards. While most decks do come with a small booklet explaining the meaning of each card, a genuinely gifted psychic will see beyond the printed words. The Tarot becomes, essentially, a jigsaw puzzle, providing imagery to the reader. A picture takes shape and unfolds, providing the reader with intuitive insights.
Professional psychics all have different, individual interpretations of the Tarot and it’s cards. Familiarity with the deck will often result in the cards literally ‘talking’ to the psychic. For example, the ‘book’ interpretation of the Hanged Man is usually indicates indecision. However, often it represents a more literal visual image of ‘twisting in the wind’. That others are not cooperating or sharing information, goods or services to the subject/client. They’re leaving you out to dry!
Personally, I love the Tarot! By it’s random nature it is, in my opinion, the most honest and original source fro psychic intuition. Having studied and practiced most of the metaphysical disciplines, such as astrology, runes and the I Ching, to name a few, I find the Tarot to be the most visual and easiest method for translating intuition.
Every psychic has their own method of doing a Tarot reading. To begin, many readers have their clients shuffle, or at least, cut the deck before beginning a layout or spread of cards. Personally, I do not let others touch my decks. As mentioned earlier, I take great care in attenuating my deck to my own energy field. Plus, I do many readings over the phone or Internet, where having a client shuffle or cut the cards is not possible.
Therefore, I ask my clients to tell me when to stop shuffling, and to pick one of three sub-decks I divide the cards into. For me, this gives the client some influence on the cards, as well as theirs and mine energy fields connecting. Likewise, every psychic has their favorite method of layouts/spreads. Myself, I prefer the Celtic Cross for a ‘general reading’, and can supplement it with additional cards should the client have specific questions.
My hope is that these insights into the concepts and methods of a psychic Tarot reading will help in understanding how it works. The Tarot has much to offer once you get past some of it’s mysteries. So next time you see or call a psychic, go ahead and ask for a Tarot reading and enjoy it!

I find it interesting to note the expression on people’s faces when they find out that I am a professional psychic. That’s not the only thing I do for a living, but once the cat is out of the bag, the immediate change in people is pretty amazing. It feels like I’m automatically on the outside looking in.
The opposite of that is true, especially if I do psychic readings at a party. Then I’m the star of the show – temporarily. What the average person doesn’t seem to understand, it that guys who are psychic are also people just like you! We aren’t God and we go to the grocery store like everyone else. It simply amazes me that the sterio-typing of guys who are psychic as some how its ‘not manly’ which I totally disagree with. I’m not sure why this happens except that I do know, when people need help, I’m the first one they run to – sometimes even before women.
Men who are professionals at doing psychic readings are a rare breed. They are usually very confient readers and do their best to know their craft. It takes many years to get skilled and proficient enough to be able to do psychic readings at a professional level. While anyone can develop their psychic ability and/or learn to do psychic tarot readings, it takes a high confidence level to jump out there and give real help to people in need.
We have to first know what makes people tick and as males we have some advantages over women who also work as professionals, mainly because we are giving our expertise from a male point of view. We can help women because we as men, know how males think. We can help them to understand the differences between males and females from our view of the situation. Men tend to be less talkative about their emotions while women are very emotional as a general rule.
Women don’t often understand that if a guy doesn’t talk about personal problems often, it doesn’t mean he’s upset with them. It means he’s often processing his situation within instead of without. Women feel that they are being ignored, wonder what she did wrong and tend to blame herself or worse, think he must be cheating. We as male psychics can really help them to get to the bottom of a situation because we are male and that is so often how we handle situations.
So, in a way, men who are professional psychics do have some advantages if the women who are calling can take the time to hear what we are saying so that they can further their understanding about why they are being ’shut out’.
It seems like nobody wants to wait for anything anymore. They don’t want to wait in line, wait until they have enough money for whatever they desire, wait for nature to take its course. They want the answers right now and want their desires fulfilled yesterday.
Part of the problem I have with that is, it takes away the journey to the desired outcome. The journey is where we learn lessons. What needs to happen is that people need to stop and smell the roses, learn what it is like without a relationship or the new car. I think that there is an amazing amount of fear in people when they are used to being in a relationship and suddenly find themselves alone. This fear and anxiety creates and very needy person looking for someone to fill the black void. Perhaps they need a compatibility report which is easily done by a competent astrologer.
Instead of taking up a hobby, or creating a social life, they cannot get past their feelings of pain and desparately want to know when someone new will come into their lives. This becomes counter-productive because what happens next is the big mistake. First comes the high of infatuation with the next person. They grab the first person that comes along and jump in with both feet without thinking about the consequences. The feelings are intense, they’ve found their soul mate and just can’t believe how wonderful it all is.
Then comes the crash after the infatuation stage. Breakups are very common at this stage because they did not take the time to get to know the person slowly over time. This process repeats itself over and over and they cannot seem to figure out that they need some down time with no relationship to releave the anxiety within and complete the grieving process from the previous relationship.
This is particularly common when people go from relationship to relationship with no breaks in between to let the grieving process unfold. The longer the relationship, the longer it takes to get through the grieving process. Getting into another relationship too soon avoids the pain of the last relationship. Unfortunately, the grief turns up in the new relationship and often is the cause for the inevitable breakup. It is important to let the grieving process run it’s course.
No one wants to suffer, but, suffering is part of the human condition when loss occurs. It is normal to mourn the loss of someone either through death or a breakup. This is the most important part of the healing process before a person can regroup before moving forward. The old relationship needs to be put away through nature’s process and cannot be done any other way than to just go through it. Nobody likes to feel rotten for an extended period of time. However, in order to have another healthy relationship that will last, one must first go through the process. Once the process is completed and you feel ok being alone, you are ready for another shot at love.
As a psychic, I find it difficult doing psychic readings for clients who for example, are ending a relationship and want to know when the next one is coming! They simply cannot ‘wait’ to see what it is like being out of a relationship. This is the type of client that hangs up when you tell them the truth because you won’t tell them that new love is coming right away.
The same applies to a caller that hangs up when you tell them you don’t see the boyfriend/girlfriend coming back and that its over. If people would really ‘hear’ what you have to say, they could avoid the financial crisis or next love drama. Waiting is part of nature’s way of giving you a break to re-group. I wish more callers could see that we are, as professionals, trying to help them avoid the next disaster.
Many clients have questions that should be directed to the correct reader depending on what they are asking. If you want to know about your grandmother that passed away, then you should choose a psychic who is also a medium or someone who does channelling. While some psychics can communicate with the other side, it is important to choose one whose strengths are in that area.
By choosing a psychic medium in this case, you will get a reading with much more detail and information. A psychic medium can pick up the other side much faster than someone who is more used to doing readings on life in general. A good psychic medium can pick up many more details, the people surrounding the person who has passed over. They can usually pick up how they passed, what occured and how they feel about it. They should also be able to tell you how you can recognize when and where they have visited you and what to expect.
General questions about love life, career, etc., can be anwered by anyone who is a professional, no matter what their gifts are or what tools they use. These types of psychics may do psychic tarot readings, online readings, email readings and use different tools of the trade. These tools can range from a tarot deck, cartomancy (a regular deck of playing cards), crystals, runes, mirrors, crystal balls or drawing using a pad of paper.
Most mediums do not use tools, and while not all psychics use tools, some do. This is just a matter of preference. Some psychics, for example, will use the tarot deck to jump start a reading. They are used to using them as a spring board to get right into the reading. Others may only use them if the questioner is upset which can block psychic energy. Good psychic tarot readings should give you just as much information as a psychic medium can.
The same is true of a client who wants to find a lost object. Lost objects are best handled by a psychic medium or one who does channelling.
If a clients wants time frames, the best person to contact is an astrologer who also does psychic readings. Time frames are difficult to pick up even for the best of professionals. An astrologer can pinpoint fairly accurate windows of time when an event has the most likelyhood of happening. Astrology is basically a huge calendar and can look into the past, present and future. While it may not be as detailed as some other types of readings, they are wonderful for time frames and when the best time to start or end a situation may be.
Astrology compatibility reports are an excellent window into partnerships of any kind. By comparing the dates of birth of the two people involved, this type of report can let you know what to expect from another person and how you will generally react in situations with each other. Who gets the most upset? Is one of you quieter than the other? How do you handle finances? As a single person and combined with another. Who talks the most and are you compatible over time.
It will also give you the obstacles you may face and what you can do to resolve issues with the other person. Compatibility reports are an excellent way to help you understand your mate or someone you may be thinking about as a futher mate. I’ve been asked countless times through the years “How can the Runes help me if I have an issue at work/school/ etc.?” While it is always preferable to consult the runes when you have no other distractions, sometimes the issue at hand just can’t wait until those “quiet times”. So my answer to the question is: “The Oracle can be a guide on the fly, so to speak, and provide direction to the matter at hand”.

I have carried a set of “pocket runes” in my brief case for years for just these kinds of situations These small sets are available from a wide variety of sources both in the “brick-and mortar” world and on the Internet as well. When a situation arises that seems to call for guidance, it is never difficult to take five minutes or so, close my office door, and pull a rune.
As with any type of activity, the more you use the runes, the easier it will be to allow yourself to be “open” to the messages that the Oracle will provide. Obviously, there will be those matters that require a deeper, more comprehensive casting. For the immediate future, however, the single rune reading can calm the mental waters until a more thorough reading can be done under better conditions.
A second use for Runes during the work day (or school, etc) is a source of meditation. How many times have you found yourself, literally, wound so tight under the pressure of a situation that you felt you would snap? By mentally forming a picture of the rune and concentrating on its meanings, you can help yourself take the “pause that refreshes”.
An example of Runic meditation would be along these lines: Say you were faced with a deadline for a project which you didn’t think you could make. During lunch, you found a quiet spot (maybe your car), and relaxed focusing on the Rune Sowelu. This rune embodies the sun and a search for wholeness within. Your breathing slows and you begin to feel a warmth within-much like be kissed by the rays of the sun. After a few minutes, you look around and the murkiness and heaviness that had burdened you has faded. You return to work on the project feeling renewed and confident that, ultimately, this is a task that you can handle.
Whether used to help guide you through an uncertain issue or a source of renewal through meditation, the Runes have their place in your day-to-day world. And, remember, ultimately, there are no accidents.

I have never regretted the choice I made many years ago to work from home as a psychic. I had a private clientele and things were going well when I decided to expand and work as an online psychic doing psychic readings over the phone. For anyone who has talent giving psychic readings – this is the near perfect job.
If you are a little rusty, practice and get online! You never know how many people you can help right from the comfort of your own home! I wouldn’t trade it for any ‘outside’ job. You can choose your own hours, no boss breathing down your neck and actually get immediate reward from those people who really need your help!
When I began my professional life as a psychic who is clairvoyant, I found that having a pad of paper handy used to help me when doing psychic readings. I would ‘zone out’ while doing readings and found that doodling or absent-mindedly drawing gave me a lot of input to the reading. The unconscious mind can often give us answers by putting them on paper.
I found that in the beginning, I would look at what I was drawing and the answers were right in front of me. Learning how to interpret what I was drawing and to then relate it to the reading I was doing took some practice, but, eventually, I picked up speed at interpretation for clients. I don’t find that I have to draw any more, however, if I get a difficult or ‘muddy’ reading I’ll pick up the pen or pencil and I can usually get clairity for the person I am reading for. This was a very good way for me to build confidence in the early years of developing my ability for professional use.
I always have a pad of paper near the phone because when I get a call, that is the first thing that I go to. I always make sure that I have a big enough pad so I don’t have to get ‘out of my zone’ to flip to a blank page. If I want to begin to pick up messages right away, I’ll just start unconsciously doodling. I don’t think of anything in particular – I just start moving the pen or pencil. I may draw spirals, arrows, hearts and have no idea why.

It is important to know the difference between a psychic Tarot Card reading and a Tarot Card reading in which the reader is simply telling you the standard meaning of a card. If you are paying for a Tarot Card reading, you should be receiving a reading in which the person is psychic or you are throwing your money away. Why is this true? If your Tarot Card reader is not psychic, you may as well read the cards for yourself.
Anyone can turn over the Ace of Wands, for example and tell you that this cards means and that there is a huge burst of creativity on the way. They can also tell you that this is a card that represents a person who is resourceful and is a self-starter.
However, a psychic Tarot Card reader might very well read that card very differently. He or she might say, ‘You are using a cane or crutches right now. I feel as though you have injured an ankle. The good news is that I see this injury healing quickly with no residual problems. While you are laid up, I sense some creative ideas coming your way that you will now have the time to flush out. You write don’t you?’
If an intuitive Tarot Card reader sees the Ace of wands reversed, they may well say, ‘This man you have been seeing is impotent. I feel as though he has a sexual dysfunction that can be corrected if he sees his Doctor. He is embarrassed to discuss this with you and that is he why he avoids intimacy.’
The position of the card determines its meaning as well. However, a psychic Tarot Card reader has the experience of the cards telling a story whereas a reader who is not intuitive relies heavily upon the given meanings of the cards and their position. If a caller asks, ‘What do you see coming up for my business?’, and the reader sees the Ace of Wands in the most likely outcome position, he or she may say, ‘Wow! Things look really good for you, “Aces are yeses and this particular card tells me that all will be well with your business.’
A psychic reader may well say, ‘You are in the construction business or you work with wood as a carpenter or home builder, I believe. I think you will do well. I am feeling that you need to put a lot of energy into advertising and that you must be sure that you are purchasing high quality wood to bring your business to its highest level of production.’
A psychic Tarot Card reader answers the querent’s questions by feeling what the cards are revealing. Colors in the cards are often as important as the meanings of the cards. An intuitive reader will say, ‘You were wearing something blue when you met this man and he noticed it immediately. Now, when you are talking, he often mentions that blue article of clothing when he speaks with you.’A Tarot Card reading from someone who is not psychic may pay no attention whatsoever to the colors on the cards.
Tarot Card readings by a psychic can be profoundly informative and can assist the caller in making decisions, understanding a career or relationship question more easily and can be predictive about likely outcome scenarios.
